Bu iki zıt kardeş yapıdan birincisi cümleye "tersine" bir anlam kazandırır... Bu anlamı Türkçe'ye genellikle "...mayacak kadar" kavramı ile çeviririz. Ayrıca, yapısal özellikleri de not ediniz:

DİKKAT:" too + sıfat + ad + (mastar) " şeklindeki varyasyona da dikkatinizi çekmek isterim:
I just can't figure out what it is, but there must be a catch -- it just sounds too good an opportunity to be true. Walla ne olduğunu çıkarsayamıyorum ama bu işin bir püf noktası olmalı -- (çünkü) inanılmayacak derecede harika bir fırsat gibi görünüyor...

DİKKAT:" too + sıfat + mastar " yapısının tümceye "tersine" bir anlam kazandıracağını söyledik; ancak bu mutlaka "olumsuz" bir nüans getirecek demek değildir. Şu örneklere bakınız:
We thought it was too good an opportunity to miss. Kaçırılmayacak kadar iyi bir fırsat olduğunu düşündük.
